Vintage Dresser Scarf

My mom gave me this dresser scarf a while back and I forgot to post a photo.
Her granny made it for her for a wedding present so it is nearly 50 years old. I just love getting things like this. I have to figure out how to do that rickety rackety.
Here are a few patterns I have bought lately…gonna make some gifts!
And last but not least…supper…YUMMY…I will post a recipe tomorrow. 
Is the rickrack crocheted on or sewn on? My grandma used to crochet over rickrack to make trim on EVERYTHING. I think she must have made miles of that stuff.
Like you, I love getting the antique handmades from the family linen closets. I am not sure quite what to do with all of it at this point. I can’t bear to part with it.
