Home again, home again, jiggidy, jig!

I tell you that man was a sight for sore eyes when he stepped through the gate at the airport last night! We had a great drive back home. All the kids stayed awake and we all talked and shared what had gone on (the highlights of course) in the past 32 days. Not that we didnt talk to him just about every day by phone but it is just different getting to talk in person. I think the kids thought it pretty cool that he saw Anthony Kiedis in the airport in Paris. Well, all but Hannah for she believes the Red Hot Chili Peppers to be the bane of her existence. And he brought me the most lovely set of olive wood bowls

that he bought in Sidi Bou Said a village named for the Muslim saint’s name who lived here. His full name was Abou Said ibn Khalef ibn Yahia Ettamini el Beji.

We had a bag of homemade chocolate chip cookies for his ride home and then this morning I cooked him a REAL breakfast! A 8 ounce rib eye, eggs over medium, biscuits, fresh tomatoes out of our garden, fresh orange juice and coffee. Served in bed of course.

We are just so happy to have him home safe and sound. And he is just as happy to be here. And happy it is raining so we have a very valid excuse for staying in bed all day watching Top Chef reruns and movies! Later Gators! Have a wonderful weekend! I plan to.
