Best Laid Plans of Mice and Men

 mouse.jpg

often go awry.

Yesterday didnt go exactly as I had planned.  Well maybe the exact opposite of my plans.  School didnt happen.  Burgers didnt happen.  When Benjamin came into the kitchen after getting dressed I noticed a few more rashy looking spots on his face.  One especially big one on his nose.  After careful examination, I decided it would be best to take him up to the pediatrician after lunch.  So we got a bit done, got showers and headed out about noon.  I knew my brother would be here sometime this afternoon so I told mom I would still cook when I got home.  In the short span of time between the time I left, the pediatrician (70 miles north of here) determined the spots were some sort of roseola needed a steriod treatment, and I got started home, Mom started to hemorrhaging so I rushed home and headed in the exact opposite direction (55 miles south of here)to have her admitted to the hospital.  The urologist seems to think he can cauterize the bleed in her bladder and get her more comfortable.  Any of you ladies who have had cystitis knows the discomfort of that…well multiply that by 100.

So…I will be on and off here for a few days.  Keep my mom in your thoughts. I will try to keep you up to speed and also post something fun so my little blog doesnt just become a medical report.

Thanks for your time.  Have a great day.
