Quick Quilt Update

Here is Ben’s finished project. Not too shabby for a kid who never sat in front of a sewing machine before this.

About Mom: We think she might have had a stroke. She is completely unresponsive and her face is drawn to the right. She seems to be locked in a semi-fetal position. This is breaking my heart and I hope I am doing all I can for her. Sometimes I believe I am. Other times I feel like I am doing nothing but watching her slowly die. It is a hard place to be. But I know there are so many MANY other people in much MUCH worse circumstances than I am. And much worse than even my mom is. So I try to keep my perspective. This is hard but not impossible. And like Husband says “The right thing to be doing.”

Thank all of you for all your kind words, prayers and well wishes. I wish I could have conversations with each of you but time is not on my side at this time. Please know I read every word and am so touched by the kindness you show towards me – someone you dont even know. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Great quilt Ben!!! That is something to be very proud of!

Prayers for grace and comfort for you.

Look at that quilt! Better than I’ve ever done! Incredible!!! (You tell him that!–he did better than a 46 yr old woman who sews!!!)

And don’t be afraid to ask for help if it’s available.

That’s really cool! What a clever boy 🙂

WAY BETTER than my first try at a quilt!

…keeping you in my daily prayers…

If it were bed sized, I’d put it on my bed proudly. I like the arrangement of the squares!

Wow Ben!! Great job!! That is something to be so proud of!!!
I am keeping you guys in my prayers..hang in there!!!

Susan prayers continue for you and your Mom.

Okay, two things:

One, kickin’ quilt!!! Kudos to him for even getting in front of it. I’m terrified of my mother’s machines… Seriously, it’s embarrassing…

Two, help and support are just two services cyberbuddies offer! Please feel free to take advantage of these services often.

May God be with you and your family.

high 5 ben! awesome job!

wasn’t God good when he sent us our sweet boys? *contented sigh*

continuing prayers for you and your mom!

Nice job Ben. I love that smile too 🙂 !

Prayers to you, your family and your mom. Your husband is correct. . . it’s the right thing to be done. At this time in your mom’s life, she is probably comforted just by knowing she is with you (her daughter), in your home, and not in some cold, sterile hospital with strangers!

God’s Blessings to you dear.

What a cool quilt. Your boy must have some sticking power to have got it completed so fast.

Sorry to hear your time with your Mum is still so tough. I’m sure she knows you’re there for her.

Hey…I can’t even sew on a button! Don’t laugh! You did a fabulous job!

When my Daddy was in a coma..they told us he wasn’t in pain..he couldn’t feel any pain for the cancer anymore..

Ben did such a great job! Can’t believe it’s his first quilting project by looking at it.

Sending a special prayer up for you. I can’t imagine how difficult it must be going through this with your mom. Sending a big hug.

He did do a great job! WTG!!

I am so sorry about your mom. May God give you strength and may He bless your family with healing, understanding and grace.
