Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a very nice supper last night with some of Husband’s family.  Roast, carrots, potatoes, fresh asparagus and German Chocolate cake made my moi! We drank wine, ate, visited and had a lovely time.  Our house is clean, the laundry is done and today will be a quiet (hopefully) day of relaxing, watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, watching movies and finalizing the plans for tomorrow’s preparation kickoff to a huge meal on Saturday. Thankfully Rachel is off until Sunday so she can do most of the desserts.  I know for sure she is making a pumpkin cheesecake.

I hope I have all the boo-boos fixed on my website.  If you find more drop me a note.

I wish you all a VERY HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

So much to do today I must run.  A family dinner tonight  – then the BIG dinner on Saturday…I am trying to drag this out arent I?

If I dont get another post made before Thursday…HAPPY TURKEY DAY!

Funny Pattern…any suggestions?

And by funny I mean “WOW…huh”? I bought this apron book I have been wanting.

Japanese publication.  Please, I am a pretty good seamstress, I can figure it out. Seems harmless enough

Until I unfolded it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The look on Hannah’s face says it all!

I have tons of Japanese craft books and I love them.  But WOW.  Where to start?  I think I will be better off to just look at the pictures and freehand the patterns!!! But I have not given up.  I am taking the book with me today and while I am waiting for Husband to see his doctor and I am going to study it.  Because surely in 2 hours or so I can teach myself Japanese, right?

Do you think it is actually a map?

Oh well…I will keep you posted on  my progress!
