Rest In Peace Brother

Rodney Scott Bellah

Scott was born in DeRidder, LA on December 4, 1967 and died at his home in New Orleans, Sunday morning, June 13, 2010.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, June 18, 2010 in the chapel at Warren Meadows Funeral Home in Many, LA.  A private family burial will take place at a later date.

He is survived by his sister Susan and her husband Jerry Dahlem of Many, brother Don W. “Butch” Bellah, Jr. and  his wife Angie of Bossier City, LA, nieces and nephews Zach Dahlem, Jessica Dahlem DeWitt, Nathan Dahlem, Jonathan  Bellah, Hannah Dahlem, Whitney Bellah, Rachel Dahlem, Benjamin Dahlem, Sidney Bellah and an untold number of friends. Everyone who met Scott was touched by his sense of humor and he never met a stranger.  He liked everyone and everyone liked him.

Scott  was preceded in death by  his father Don W. Bellah, Sr., mother Maudie “Toot” Bellah, and sister Tammy.

I’ve been asked if my brother had a charity that donations can be made to in his name. He was a HUGE animal lover (he owned NINE cats and at least one dog that I know of), so if you feel compelled, please make a donation in his name, Rodney Scott Bellah to your local animal shelter or similar organization.
