It’s GOOSEBERRY PATCH Review & Giveaway time again!

Oh yeah!

This book is amazing!  I began reading it over the weekend and have tried to get this post finished with photos of a couple of my favorite recipes  but couldn’t wait any longer to tell you about it  – recipes/photos or not!  So check back day after tomorrow for two great recipes from Mom’s Very Best Recipes!  My tardiness only gives you one more chance to get your name in to win this treasure of a cookbook!

250 tried and true favorites from Mom’s recipe box.    The drawing for this great collection of recipes is February 21.  By now surely you know how this works but just in case:

Over the next 10 days I am going to share three recipes from Mom’s Very Best Recipes plus more about this amazing, nostalgic cookbook. It’s those kinds of recipes…from Mom and Grandmom…yummy.  The kind that warm you inside and out.

How you enter to win is super simple.  After this introduction post and then every recipe review post  you can leave a comment so there will be FOUR chances for you to get your name in.  Sound good so far?  Yeah, I thought so :)When I signed on as an Early Bird Reviewer I agreed to test 2-3 recipes from each book.  Well that proved harder than I thought!  How was I going to pick JUST 2-3??? But I managed and you will love them.  They passed my recipe trial with flying colors AND the taste test of my panel of experts! Then on Feb 21, 2011 I will pick a winner!  YAY!

Here are the three I am going to be reviewing and sharing with you over the next 10 days.

Chicken Tortilla Soup

Bubble  & Squeak

Texas Taco Biscuit Bake

Now those sound amazing – and INTERESTING !  Bubble & Sqeak…that was a new one to me but can’t wait to share it with you!

the tortilla soup sounds delish, I bet they all will be of course.

I can tell from the cover that I would LOVE this cookbook!

I do bubble and squeak all the time Susan. It’s very British. Basically a hash made from the leftover spuds and sprouts (or cabbage) and any other veg from Sunday lunch! The name comes from the noises it makes when it is cooking in the pan! I love Gooseberry Patch cookbooks and know that this one would be destined to become a favourite of mine as well. Lucky you!

The taco bake sounds interesting, and I’d love to add this cookbook to my collection, please add me, thanks!
