OH MY OH MY!!! How much do I love this cookbook????? A lot I tell you.
I mean look at the cover! Fresh from the Farmstand ! One of my favorite places to be – a farmstand! And this on is jam packed with recipes to use up all that great produce you find at your local farmstand. With chapters like Freshly Gathered Breakfasts, Market-Basket Soups & Breads, Garden-Fresh Sides & Salads, Farmstead Feasts, Summer’s Best Appetizers and Berry Best Desserts! What won’t you love about this book!
My first recipe review is for Savory Egg Bake. O. M. GOODNESS!!! Perfect – beyond perfect!
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tomato chopped
- 1 green onion sliced
- 1/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
In a small bowl beat eggs, sour cream and salt together. Stir in tomato, onion and cheese. Pour into a greased 2 cup casserole dish or ramekin. Bake, uncovered at 350 for 25-30 minutes, until knife tip inserted in center comes out clean. Serves 2.
But I am thinking if I hurry I can eat the whole thing before Jerry wakes up!
