Welcome 2013

As we wind down 2012, we have lived in interesting times, which I believe in some cultures is considered a curse. Yet, here we are, looking forward to a new year, with renewed hope for better things to come. I wish all my friends and family a very safe, happy, healthy 2013. No resolutions here. As usual I have more ideas than time so I will just strive to use my time wisely, weigh carefully the things I deem important, remind myself how fortunate I am and remember if I can’t help, then at least do no harm.

I also wanted to let you know that I will be taking a blog break.  An announced one as it appears I have taken several unannounced breaks.  Writers block, lack of inspiration or is it simply that NQJC has run its course?  Time shall tell.  But I thank you all and hope to have something worthwhile to write to you soon.

We have a winner….drum roll please…

And that lucky ducky is: Michelle of i love you all day long !  YAY MICHELLE!!  I need you to send me your mailing address and I will pass it along to my friends at Chinet who will send your box of bakeware right out to you!!!

Welcome December! How about a Give Away??

Just in time for the holidays my friends at Chinet contacted me about another great giveaway opportunity for my bloggy friends!

I used this handy dandy bakeware at Thanksgiving and as before…LOVED IT!  So how can you get a big ol’ set of this Chinet Bakeware for yourself??? Just leave me a comment saying you want to be included in the drawing and VOILA! you are entered!  Next Monday I will draw a name out of the trusty mason jar and Chinet will send you a big box of bakeware all your very own!

Here are some goodies from our Thanksgiving meal…

This is my souped up mac and cheese – a HUGE success.  Just cooked my 1 pound package of elbow macaroni per package instructions, drained and rinsed to stop the cooking.  Mixed together 16 ounces of melted Velvetta cheese, 1 can of Campbell’s Nacho Cheese soup and 1/2 cup milk and stirred into the macaroni until well blended and then put it in the Chinet baker and topped with French’s French Fried Onions.  Baked until hot in a 350 degree oven.

I also used the bakers for my broccoli rice casserole and gluten free pumpkin bake.  Great performance from the bakeware each and every time!

So leave me a comment…enter to win and GOOD LUCK!!
